Watch As The Coast Guard Heroically Rescues Two Turtles Stuck In Fishing Nets

There are many people who dedicate their lives to rescuing animals. From paid government employees to volunteer groups, they are all over the world rescuing animals each and every day.

While some of these rescuers aim to take in stray dogs and cats off the street and give them the medical attention and love that they need — like Eldad Hagar's rescue team, Hope For Paws — other groups like The Beagle Freedom Project travel all over the world rescuing dogs from testing labs. Then there are the rescue groups that specialize in taking on the daunting task of rescuing injured, or trapped wild animals, like the people at WildLife Aid.

All of these people face different challenges in their rescues and treatments of the animals they care for every day, and all can be considered heroes.

But when these rescues are needed out at sea, requiring boats and other specialized equipment, that's when the Coast Guard rises to the occasion.

For this rescue, a team of Coast Guardsmen gets prepped with safety gear to free two sea turtles that have been trapped in fishing nets, along with the trash that has been thrown into the water.

It takes a lot of effort and a whole team of people to untangle the mess that has been left in the water, but they finally free the turtles, allowing them to swim off and live the long lives they are intended to have.
