The next time you want to add a gorgeous touch to your home, considering picking up a couple boxes of coffee stirrers. No, really.

Reddit user chryler wanted to replicate a chandelier he found online that was made of plastic spoons and metal. However, it was incredibly expensive, so he decided to take the DIY route. With 1,083 plastic coffee stirrers — and a whole lot of determination — chryler created a stunning, stylish, and modern piece of home decor.

He had to take the proper measurements for the outer and inner ring of the chandelier, then poke holes and staple the stirrers together. Then, he drilled holes in a metal bar and added staples to that as well.

While this makeshift chandelier is a time-consuming project, it's fairly easy to recreate. Standing back, you'd never know this chandelier is made of coffee stirrers! Just make sure you have a lot of patience…and a lot of stirrers.

I just love it when people make something cheap that looks expensive, and when people use everyday items to make something beautiful! One man's trash is certainly another man's treasure.

Can you imagine this being done with glass coffee stirrers? Gorgeous! The possibilities are endless when you have enough creativity and time on your hands. Please SHARE this amazing DIY project with your friends on Facebook!

Reddit user chryler wanted to replicate an expensive chandelier he found online that was made of plastic spoons and metal. He tried to replicate the measurements from the information found on the company's website, but instead of using spoons, he opted for plastic coffee stirrers. Lots and lots of plastic coffee stirrers.

After collecting the right amount of stirrers, the next step was to poke holes and staple the stirrers together.

Then, he drilled holes in a metal bar and added staples to that as well. This is where the stirrers would be hung.

A home project like this takes time, patience, and energy — but the payoff is well worth it. Especially if you set out to create that makeshift, DIY look on the cheap!

It took a total of 1,083 stirrers to create the chandelier. Who would've thought these cheap pieces of plastic could create something so awesome?!

If I saw this inside someone's home, I'd be shocked to learn the truth behind its creation. What a great idea!
