College Student Spent Five Years Creating Awesome Timelapse To A Coldplay Song

As we grow older, it can feel like time starts to move much more quickly while we go about experiencing all of life's milestones. After years of trudging through the same routine day after day, it all seems to speed up as we finally graduate from high school, make our way through college, and begin our own paths as independent adults. Whether you find yourself building a family or making a name with your career, it can all start to look like one big blur as we reflect on how we got where we are today.

However, for recent University of Virginia graduate Sam Reid, he only has to hit play on the video below for an incredible look back on his transformation from awkward high school junior to dapper young college alum. Using the simple programs already installed on most MACs, Reid began snapping photos of his face over the years and compiled them into mesmerizing timelapse.

Set to the song "My Life in Technicolor II" by Coldplay, he gives the video an extra level of awesome by singing along with the lyrics over the years. I can't imagine how painstaking the process was to remember exactly where he was in the tune before each new snap, or how much he might have gotten tired of listening to the same song for so many years, but the end result is totally worth it.

It's fascinating to watch as his face ages and develops into new styles and hairdos over time.
