Judson Manor, a retirement community in Cleveland, Ohio, is home to about 100 senior residents. And then there's 24-year-old Marissa Plank. While most young people her age might be partaking in wild, late-night parties, she has voluntarily chosen to live on the 10th floor of Judson Manor.
As a student at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the retirement home gave her an offer she couldn't refuse — free rent — in exchange for monthly performances! She doesn't regret her choice and actually admits she loves being around all the elderly residents.
"It became more like a family than a job," Plank told CBS. "Yeah, they're all my grandparents."
Plank, along with two other college students, live in the retirement home and continue to bring beautiful music — and companionship — to all the residents.
"Those young people do a lot for us. They bring us alive," gushed one resident.
