During college finals, many students rely on one another to study and complete projects. Maybe they missed an important class or couldn't attend a review session, so they ask their peers for help. Sometimes they ask classmates to study with them, while other times they just need access to documents, previous assignments, or lecture notes.
Sav Gibson, a college student in Texas, recently had a very strange conversation with a classmate after asking for some quick homework help.
Gibson wanted to look over a review document she didn't have, so she texted a male classmate to ask if he had the PDF she needed. She assumed that he would just send it to her when he had a chance, but his response left her in complete shock.
Gibson asked her classmate, whose name has been blurred for privacy reasons, "hey!! will u send me that pdf for the review," to which he responded, "Yeah sure thing hold on I'm drinking."
The student assumed that her classmate was just making small talk at first, but then didn't understand why he was talking about feeling awkward.
Then he claimed that he was feeling like a "pervert," and at that point Gibson understood that he was having less than pure thoughts about her.
All she was asking for was a review document, but for some reason her classmate decided to morph the situation into something inappropriate.
Gibson tried to laugh it off, reminding him that she just wanted the document, and then eventually telling him to forget about it. She understood that it wasn't worth it to keep talking to a guy who was being outwardly creepy to her.
Instead of just letting it go, Gibson decided to share her story on Twitter, where her friends were as shocked and infuriated as she was. But then, the peer who had made the creepy advances toward her found her Tweets and got really angry.
After being so creepy and gross, it seems ridiculous that the guy would get so angry — though hopefully he's just mad because he realizes how badly he acted.
