One police officer was called a hero after his quick thinking saved a man seconds before being hit by a train.
Like the cop who rescued a man from an explosive car fire, the officer in the video below had swift instincts in a time of need.
He was able to bring a man to safety seconds before falling in front of a the speeding train in Medellin, Colombia – and it was all caught on a surveillance camera.
The man, who is said to have appeared uneasy, was reportedly attempting to commit suicide. It's incredible to watch as the cop grabbed the man's arm and flung him back to the platform right as he was jumping.
The cop was later identified as 19-year-old Luis Alfonso Ramirez, according to the Associated Press.
The video has been shared on several YouTube accounts and has received an abundance of comments from people praising the officer for his work.
One user called him a "superhero," adding, "seriously, well done, exactly what an officer should be doing, protecting the community… quick thinking and brave."
Another wrote: "Please tell Ofc. Luis Alfonso Ramirez that he did a heroic and tremendous thing!"
