If you're like me, it's easy for commercial jingles to get stuck in your head.
No really, it took me a pretty long time to stop singing, "Gotta go to Mo's… Modell's!"
And who could forget the brilliance behind the Kit Kat song? "Give me a break, give me break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar," seriously made me want to eat some every time I heard it.
That's why, when I came across Grant Woolard's video on his YouTube page, I was amused by the originality and the composer's ability to perform some of the most famous jingles in such a unique way. (I felt the same way when I saw five guys master the Mortal Kombat theme song.)
Woolard uses products from the various companies to hit the keys on a keyboard. He opens with the Old Spice jingle using a deodorant stick and leads to many more, including the one for Meow Mix cat food, SpaghettiOs soup, Fanta soft drink, Coca-Cola, Mentos, Band-Aid, and Farmers Insurance Group. There's also one of my all-time favorites, "The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup."
"It was a long process of trial and error," Woolard told LittleThings about getting the jingle right. "It took about 2 months from start to finish. Luckily I had plenty of Folgers coffee to help me through it."
Other viewers were just as impressed as I was, including one who wrote, "This is probably one the most clever things I've seen all year, not to even mention how masterfully executed the whole thing was."
