Empathy is one of the greatest traits that we have as human beings. It's the reason why we cry when we see someone else crying…or laugh when we see someone else laughing.
A group of people on the subway found this out the funny way when one passenger started laughing when she saw something amusing on her phone. Soon, another person started laughing at her laugh. Then another. And another. And before you knew it, this subway car became the site for the happiest commute in history.
I don't know what it is, but every time I see someone else laughing, it's only a matter of seconds before I'm laughing along with them. Just like this baby who has the cutest giggle ever, this woman really has a powerful chuckle. At first, a few people seem to be irritated with her, but it's only a short while before she has everyone on the car laughing with her! And I'll be the first to admit that I was cracking up, too.
With all of the terrible things happening in the world today, it's so nice to see a bunch of people laughing for the sake of laughter. Just being around so many happy people seems like the perfect way to get your day started on the right note. If this happened more frequently on public transportation, I think we'd all be a bit more eager to take the subway!
