To be honest, I am not great when it comes to culinary skills. It's something I've never really been able to get the hang of despite my very strong love for all types of food.
My former roommate, however, was the best at creating delicious dishes for the whole apartment to enjoy, and it's something I seriously miss. I have a feeling that if I tried my hand at any of his recipes it would end up more like the unfortunate examples below.
Some, however, definitely went above and beyond with their kitchen mishaps, which is exactly why I tend to stick to delivery food. Sure, it's not great for my budget, but it's definitely the least hazardous option.
Everyone has a learning curve, of course, but it might be time for these folks to hang up their chef's hat for good.

1. Very Well Done Pizza
This is what happens when you accidentally fall asleep while you're waiting on dinner. Thankfully nothing worse happened.
2. Improvising Cookery
His roommate left with all the pots and pans, so he had to make do.
3. Bacon Explosion
They should maybe stick to using a skillet next time.
4. Self-Destructing Oven
They had only been cooking for 15 minutes when the oven just decided to give up.
5. Crunchy Chicken
You're going to have to scrape a few layers of this off before taking a bite.
6. Pile Up
That's one way to solve the problem of not having a lid, I suppose.
7. Multipurpose Strainer
Well, I guess this does work, but I hope they washed off the racket first.
8. Molten Caramel
This looks more like a natural disaster than anything you'd put on a sweet treat.
9. Flipped Off
Maybe "spatula" was one of the ingredients.
10. Eggs Over Uneasy
It actually takes a certain level of skill to mess up this badly.
11. Questionable Casserole
I can't decide which is worse — that someone seems to have actually taken a helping of this mixed-bag dish or that someone clearly put a lot of time and effort into making it.
12. Time To Order Pizza
This person clearly needs to stay far, far, far away from their kitchen. And probably anything pointy.
