Cop Crashes Car Into Oncoming Vehicle To Save Lives Of 300 Children

This past weekend, a caravan of nine buses drove 300 children home from a Siberian summer camp.

The caravan entrusted 39-year-old Russian police officer, Aleksandr Kosolapov, to safely escort the busloads of children back to their families. As the officer accompanied the convoy, he noticed a Toyota in the opposite lane beginning to veer into the buses. The reckless driver began to speed up, crossed the dividing line, and ended up in the wrong lane on the highway — directly heading straight for the convoy. That's when Officer Kosolapov did the unthinkable.

Without hesitation or regard for his own life, Officer Kosolapov veered his patrol car between the lead bus and Toyota, thus preventing a tragic head-on collision. Both vehicles were completely totaled, leaving Officer Kosolapov's patrol car a heap of metal scraps on the pavement. In return, none of the children aboard the buses were harmed.

Though he suffered serious injuries, Officer Kosolapov is now conscious and in stable condition. Medical experts say it's a miracle he didn't die.

As it turns out, there were five passengers inside the Toyota — including a terrified 10-year-old boy. All five survived the wreck with minor injuries. Authorities have opened a criminal case against the careless driver.

As this incredible story goes viral, people all over the world are hailing Officer Kosolapov a hero. This brave policeman deserves all the recognition he can get, so please SHARE this story with your friends on Facebook!
