A police officer — reportedly in Mexico — is being hailed a hero after saving a baby's life.
The viral video shows the officer frantically performing CPR in the back of a car hoping for the baby's revival, similarly to American Officer Martin Smith, who saved an infant while responding to a 911 call.
A crowd and several other police officers gather outside the car as she blows air into the baby's mouth. Moments later, the baby boy regains consciousness.
The police officer's expression at the :25 mark proves how relieved she is and how much she wanted to save this baby's life.
It's presumed that the baby was dangerously left in a hot car, which can cause heat stroke and death. It's reported that 38 children die every year because of this.
The video was also shared on the Facebook page of Chicago radio station Amor 106.7 and has over 200,000 shares.
The caption reads: "Because there are cops who deserve a round of applause."
Thousands of people commended her in the comments, including one who wrote, "Congratulations to that wonderful lady, she deserves a medal."
The video might be a little hard for some to watch at first because of the boy's struggle, but the ending will bring anyone relief.
