Getting pulled over while you're trying to get your holiday shopping done? I don't think anyone relishes that experience, but a few people in Lowell, Michigan recently experienced that – and got the surprise of their lives!
The Lowell police department, along with people from the Uplift Someone campaign at UPtv, decided to play a prank on a bunch of holiday shoppers. After pulling them over for small traffic violations, the officer on camera asked them what their kids – or what they – wanted for the holidays. Unbeknownst to the people in the car, the officer was speaking into a tiny microphone, repeating the exact gifts the people he pulled over said. To their utter surprise, a few minutes after they described the gifts they were trying to find, those gifts appeared!
The looks on their faces is simply magic, and it's so wonderful to see people doing good, just for the heck of it!
