Joseph and Louise Shapton are fast-food fans. Not only did they have their first date at a McDonald’s, but they also eat there two to three times a week! While that might be fast-food overload for some people, it works for this happy couple. In fact, they are so enamored with McDonald’s that they just got married in the McDonald’s location where they had their first date!
That’s right: Joseph and Louise just got married in a McDonald’s.
It was their daughter, Sarah-Lea, who first suggested the unique wedding reception venue. While some (OK, most) parents would have taken the suggestion with a grain of salt, Joseph and Louise decided it was a great idea. “It's a really unusual idea and we will always remember it. It's delicious food so what's not to love?” Louise told UK’s Daily Mail.
Fitting into the McDonald’s theme was a wedding cake shaped like a Big Mac that read “Married at McDonald’s,” made to order meals for their guests, and Big Mac meals for Joseph and Louise (the two might want to try this homemade Big Mac recipe for their next dinner in!).
Honestly, it might not be the healthiest wedding, but it does sound pretty delicious. Plus, a wedding day is supposed to be all about what the bride wants and Louise was thrilled at her unique wedding reception.
