There's no better feeling after trudging home through the snow than curling up in front of a nice warm blaze in the fireplace. Ideally, you have a yummy mug of hot cocoa in your hands, too, but as long as those flames are flickering away, you can't help but feel relief as your frozen woes melt away.
Of course, that means stocking up on plenty of logs to light up over the colder months, especially if your home is located even a little bit off the beaten track and a winter storm decides to roll in. I know that's happened to me and my family more than a few times over the years. But even if the electricity got knocked out for a few hours, we knew we could rely on the old-fashioned option.
That said, we never got nearly as creative with our stacks as the folks below with their impressive and artistic designs — these are so cool!
