Dance is one of the universal languages of the world. It's like a smile or a wave, people instantly understand one another without any words having to pass between them. It's a beautiful thing.
Another universal language? Music. Even if you can't quite understand the lyrics, the rhythm and the beat will speak to you.
And when music and dance come together, especially in a completely spontaneous way, there's really no better combination in the world. Street musicians offer the opportunity for anyone to simply start dancing. Sometimes the music is that good, you just can't resist.
Take these three dancers in Paris. Each of them stops at a different street musician and adds an incredible layer of depth to the music just through dance. Or this girl who was just walking down the street with her family and was moved by the music around her. With her father's encouragement, she began dancing along with the melody and created something totally unique and beautiful on the streets of Italy. It's really something special to see!
Let's now travel to a random street in Liverpool where an old man is compelled to dance to music on the street. Though he's alone and there is a large crowd around him, he starts dancing and soon the entire crowd joins him. It's like magic, the way strangers are able to come together like that!
