For anyone unacquainted with a "dad bod," the term is used to describe a man whose body is, shall we say, kind of soft. With its slim limbs and puffy pouch, it is instantly recognizable. Importantly, though, the label dad bod is often dished out as a compliment.
The term was coined by a 19-year-old student from Clemson University, Mackenzie Pearson, who published an essay titled "Why Girls Love The Dad Bod." In it, she outlines why a dad bod is actually the preferred body type among many females.
And that, perhaps, is why an art director from London felt compelled to design the startling product you're about to see below.
You see, Albert Pukies really wanted a dad bod, but being a slim guy, he knew he had to put in the work. By work, I mean eating lots of unhealthy foods and not getting much exercise.
And so, the "Dadbag" was born.
What is the Dadbag? Well, you're about to find out!

Meet Albert Pukies, an art director from London. As you can see, he's a slim guy, but he really wants a dad bod. So he created the Dadbag!
"I made the Dadbag because I'm desperate to have a dad bod but I'm also very concerned about the health risks associated with it.
"The solution is quite simple, a bumbag [fanny pack] with a proper dad belly printed on it. Now I can put on a dad bod whenever I feel like it."
As you can see, Albert's creation, the Dadbag, is exactly what it sounds like: a fanny pack that looks uncannily like a man's hairy, fleshy stomach.
Albert even created multiple aptly named versions of the Dadbag — and they are as varied as you can imagine!
At first glance, you might not even realize that Albert is wearing a fanny pack; it's so believable and practically looks like his real stomach.
As shown in the picture above of Albert in his car, the Dadbag is startlingly realistic.
But let's not forget about the functionality of this piece: it's the perfect place to store a refreshing beverage (or two).
The Dadbag is not in production yet, but Albert is working to ensure that his dream of having a dad bod — and to provide one for anyone who wishes to have one, too — comes to fruition!
