A day at a theme park usually involves adventure, junk food, and lots of fun. However, that adventure usually does not involve ducklings falling from the sky.
Channing Deren's family was at Busch Gardens, enjoying the day by celebrating her husband, when she felt something hit her shoulder. When she looked down, she realized it was a baby duck! When she and her husband, Eric, looked up, they realized there were more ducklings! The ducks were literally falling from the sky. Or, more accurately, from a ledge above.
Eric acted fast and saved the tiny ducklings as they fell or jumped off the ledge. His daughter, Aubrey, watched as her father caught some of the babies one-handed and managed to save the day! The ducks that were saved were taken away by Busch Garden staff members to be treated for any injuries they might have suffered.
Dad can be a hero in any situation whether he is like this one and saves baby ducks or he's like this other father who saved his children's lives by using CPR. Both men deserve praise for the quick thinking!
