John Brynarsky has been working on cars in Charlotte, NC for 45 years. His son Chris followed in his footsteps and became a master of custom paint jobs.
Back in 2006, Chris was working on a car bumper in his shop when he was shot and killed. His coworker, Mark, repaired the bumper and put it back on the car, but not before writing an inscription inside, which read: "In memory of Christopher Brynarsky October 11th, 2006 11:45 AM."
Mark never thought anyone would actually see the inscription, but he wanted to do something to immortalize his friend Chris.
Then one fateful day, nine years later, that very same bumper resurfaced. The technician who unknowingly removed the bumper was Chris' father, John.
"Somehow it came to this shop, somehow we got it and it's just unreal," said Chris' brother Jonathan. "You can't even write something like that."
We've seen incredible tales of destiny before, but none that are quite as moving as this one. Mark and John now share a bond that neither could have seen coming. Watch the video below to see the bumper, its inscription, and the meeting between the two new friends.
What an incredible story of fate and serendipity.
