In 2013, a 19-year-old from Hopkins, MN, performed a simple act of kindness that would have otherwise gone unrecognized… if it weren't for one anonymous letter.
Joey Prusak, a sweet and hardworking teenager, had managed his local Dairy Queen since he was in eighth grade. When a regular customer who is visually impaired dropped a $20 bill on the ground, Prusak expected the woman who picked it up to return the money.
Instead, Prusak watched as the woman slipped the cash in her purse and claimed the money was hers.
She refused to give it back to its rightful owner.
But then Prusak did something amazing… and he didn't tell anyone about it. Not even his boss.
It didn't matter that Joey kept the incident to himself, because the owner of that Dairy Queen location soon received an anonymous email from someone who witnessed the teenager's unexpected deed.

"Other customers saw what happened and one of them wrote an email to Dairy Queen," according to KARE11. "The email was forwarded to the owner of the store, who posted it on the board for everybody to see."
"A co-worker was impressed by what happened and posted the message on Facebook, where others found it and shared it. Joey's story is now all over the Internet."
