Girl Born Without A Face Finds A Sister Across The World

In Eastern Europe and other countries around the world, orphanages are overflowing with babies in need of loving homes. One little girl named Danica barely stood a chance at her orphanage in Ukraine. Danica never had one visitor, and she was fated to be thrown out on the streets to fend for herself. That's because Danica was born with Treacher-Collins syndrome, a rare condition that affects the formation of bones in the face and can result in deafness.

By the grace of God, the tiny 6-year-old fell into the right hands. As soon as Thom and Tami Wetmore saw a photo of Danica, they knew they needed to adopt her and bring her home to Tyler, Texas. The Wetmores have three biological children, including one daughter who also suffers from Treacher-Collins syndrome. Their daughter Juliana's condition is far worse and they didn't want her to walk through life feeling alone. In the following video, the Wetmores say that Danica exudes pure love. "She loves everybody. She doesn’t judge anybody. She doesn’t see anybody as different."

This family's beautiful story must be shared, as it's important to treat all people with the same love and understanding.
