As someone with terrible balance, I envy the people who have such an extraordinary command of their bodies. Gymnasts are particularly impressive. Just watch the way they move and seemingly defy gravity!
Gymnast Sophina DeJesus made headlines when she added a little sass to her routine — and had a lot of fun doing so!
Now, another gymnast added a little spark to her balance beam routine, with a simple flick of her hand. UCLA gymnast Danusia Francis used the balance beam to show off not just her skill, but her personality… which earned her a perfect score of 10.
Now watch how Francis captures her audience's attention. She starts off on a high note, then performs a string of moves which earn her applause from the audience. But what really catches our eye is how she chooses to intersperse her graceful hand movements throughout her routine, as a transition between moves.
But it's the moment before her final move that makes us truly gasp. She gets ready to jump off the balance beam, and we know that she had a fantastic move in store, but it's not until she lands on the mat that you know she's earned her perfect score!
If you were stunned by this unusual, yet entertaining routine, please SHARE!
Perfection. Congratulations Danusia Francis! #perfect10
