Discover How Hot It Really Gets In A Car When A Pizza Is Left There To Bake

It's finally summertime, and it seems like we've been waiting for forever for the weather to get warm and pleasant.

But in some parts of the country, the weather has been hot for a few weeks already, and is steadily turning into a blistering heat. In fact, many people underestimate how sweltering it's become and leave their pets in their hot cars without realizing that the animals can overheat and die.

To demonstrate just how hot it really gets inside a locked car, Dorinda Penner from Chino's Bistro in Steinbach, Canada, and Corny Rempel tested out a theory: If left inside the car for two hours or so, pizza dough would rise enough to bake and form an edible pizza.

So they got to work and made a basic pepperoni pizza. They didn't put it in the oven, but left it on the dashboard of a car.

Just over two hours later, the pair returned to check on their concoction. What do you think they found?

There was a notable difference between the pizza baked in an oven and the pizza baked in the car, but, at first glance, the dashboard pizza looked completely edible.

Now watch when they taste it…
