Daughter Surprises Dad With Collectors Item He Sold 30 Years Ago To Help His Family

This is going to move you to tears, so make sure you have some tissues on hand! The love of a parent runs deep, and it's always amazing when that love was so strong that it seeps out from the child.

This moment is an example of just that. One woman remembered a sacrifice her dad had made 30 years ago when he sold one of his most prized possessions in order to get some money for his family, who was in a tight place financially at the time. Lindsey Moore was only 7 years old when her dad took her and her brother with him to sell his Dan Marino rookie football trading card.

This year, Lindsey ended up getting her dad for Secret Santa. And more than 30 years later, she bought the card back to gift to him.

In the video, her mother reads the card that the daughter wrote. "Money was tight, so you were selling your most prized possession – at least I viewed it as that. I felt your sacrifice and it taught me that I would do whatever necessary to ensure my future family never needed anything. It was a lesson that has stuck with me since that moment."

She went on to share that witnessing that moment at 7 years old made her determined to repay her father. "I will never be able to fully repay that debt. Seven-year-old me would be so elated to see that I finally fulfilled that promise I made to myself. Thank you for everything."

Her dad is seen tearing up as he listens to the letter and then opens the envelope with the card in it. He then walks over to his daughter and gives her a hug, and it's the sweetest moment ever!
