David Bowie's "Heroes" is just one of those songs you'll never get tired of. Between its uplifting tune and inspirational lyrics, both song and artist are beloved by most, if not all!
The singer performed the song in 1985 at the Live Aid concert, along with many other famous performers. The event was a dual-venue concert held to raise funds for relief of the Ethiopian famine. It took place over a total of 16 hours, in venues on two separate continents: Wembley Stadium in London, and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Pennsylvania. David Bowie performed in England along with the band U2, Elvis Costello, and Queen, while concert-goers in the U.S enjoyed the talents of Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
David Bowie is one of those spirited entertainers who is so fascinating to watch. His shows always look so fun! He shows immense passion on stage, and the musicians and singers behind him can match it. Check out that cool and colorful '80s fashion behind him, and one very enthusiastic tambourine-wielding musician! I would have loved to see David Bowie in concert, and hopefully with his new album, Blackstar, to be released in 2016, I'll one day be able to!
