Woman Gives Her Identical Twin The Ultimate Birthday Gift To Complete Her Family

How far would you go to help a family member?

We've seen what a special bond twins share from the day they are born, but the sisters in the following story really raise the bar on amazing stories. Dawn Ardolino-Policastro recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy via C-section, but the newborn did not go home with her. Baby Hudson William is Policastro's nephew, her twin sister Allison Ardolino-Dinkelaker's son.

Allison was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 breast cancer in 2009, when she was 30 weeks pregnant with her first son, Dylan. After learning that her identical twin was left unable to have another child, Dawn gave Allison the ultimate gift to help complete her family. Allison told Dawn "What we are most grateful for is the gift you have given to Dylan the gift of being a big brother a dream that we all had and that you made come true!!!" according to photographer Allison Rose's Facebook post.

"We are and always will be eternally grateful!!" the photos below read on the post, which has since gone viral. To top off an incredible story, baby Hudson was born in Mineola, New York on August 7, 2015, the twins 33rd birthday. If that isn't the ultimate gift for your sibling and best friend, I don't know what is.

Allison was left unable to have children after six years of treatment for breast cancer, so her twin insisted on acting as a surrogate.

At one point, Dawn even knew she was having a nephew before her sister did.
