The facility, owned by 58-year-old Carla Faith, was reportedly licensed to hold only six children.
At first, officers couldn't find any kids inside the day care. Meanwhile, Carla Faith was refusing to cooperate with authorities.
Despite the fact the facility seemed empty, officers heard the distinct sound of children's voices coming from somewhere inside the house.
When one parent, identified as "Kate," went to the day care to pick up her 1-year-old daughter, an employee from the Colorado Department of Human Services showed her what they'd just discovered.
