Denzel Washington is without a doubt one of the most sought after and recognizable actors in Hollywood.
But the award-winning actor, who is known for roles in movies like The Pelican Brief and Remember the Titans, is also as down to earth as they come.
Recently, Denzel was visiting Chicago when he bumped into someone he hadn't seen since his childhood.
Denzel grew up in New York, but he had family in Chicago. Growing up, he spent time in the city with his family.
While wandering through Chicago (reportedly trying to find Leon's BBQ, a famous Chicago barbecue joint), Denzel bumped into 86-year-old Juanita Hubbard and her family on the street.
Denzel recognized Juanita. She had lived in the neighborhood when he was a kid, and he had fond memories of the time he spent with her.

Denzel Washington may be an award-winning actor, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten his roots.
The 62-year-old, who grew up in New York, spent a lot of time in Chicago as a kid.
Recently, Denzel was visiting Chicago. He was heading to a famous barbecue restaurant, Leon's BBQ, when he ran into 86-year-old Juanita on the street.
Denzel had known Juanita when he was a kid. When he recognized the woman, now a grandma, he knew he had to stop by and say hello.
Juanita was delighted by Denzel's visit! The whole family came out to say hi, and Denzel spent a little while hanging out and talking about his childhood memories in their neighborhood.
Juanita's granddaughter, who shares her name, posted about the serendipitous run-in on Facebook. She says the meeting totally made her grandma's day.
And thousands of strangers were enamored by Denzel's great memory and down-to-earth personality as well.
It's so great to see an actor who's gone so far in life come back to his roots. This meant a lot to Juanita — and I'm sure it meant a lot to Denzel as well.
