Every year around the holidays, we hear some of the most incredible stories involving kindness and giving. Not only do we learn about the great things that average people have done, we also recognize people for the everyday heroes they truly are.
The kindness of strangers can really affect us more than we would expect it to. When someone we don't know — and may never meet again — takes time out of their day to do something nice for someone else, it's always a valuable experience.
One woman named Christina Causland was running a few errands at her local HomeGoods, when she found an amazingly thoughtful gift in the bathroom. It was from a mother who had gone through some very rough times while raising her child, which prompted her to want to give back. And so, she devised the perfect solution to prevent other moms from similarly desperate situations. In that moment, Christina discovered a complete stranger's generosity firsthand — even though it didn't directly affect her.

Christina was at a HomeGoods in Solana Beach, CA, when she saw something pretty surprising inside the bathroom.
She walked in and spotted a pile of diapers and baby wipes lying on the baby changing table. Then she looked closer and saw a note on top. After reading what it said, she quickly posted a photo of it on her Instagram.
The note was from a proud mom. It said:
"I once found myself in this exact same spot with a newborn with a crazy blowout and NO DIAPERS or WIPES. An unmitigated disaster, that was! Just in case you have found yourself in the same sort of pickle, I brought in some wipes and diapers to save the day. Good luck out there! Happy Holidays!
—Sarah."
Although Christina didn't have children of her own, she recognized the kind gesture that was made. Sarah's past struggles resonated with Christina and by posting her photo on Instagram, her intention was probably to keep the ball rolling in regards to seeing and doing good deeds for strangers.
“I can definitely relate to being in a pinch and not having what I needed,” Christina said in an email, according to Link Random. She continued, “I mostly just wanted to highlight her good deed and pass it along in hopes it would inspire others to do so.”
In the end, Christina doesn't want Sarah, a mom she would most likely never meet, to have her giving nature go unnoticed. With your help, we can all spread Sarah's message.
