After posting a tour of her room on YouTube, Cathy was flooded with requests to make her DIY Floral Chandelier/Pendant Light — and it's my new favorite project. It’s cheap, easy-to-make, and so very creative. Plus, who knew the secret to an elegant chandelier was a pack of coffee filters?!
This homemade hanging light gives off a soft glow, and looks amazing hung from any ceiling. With Cathy's easy-to-follow tutorial, the end result is a modern take on the pendant light that can brighten up any room and can be used for any occasion. What I also love about this project is that you don't have to be afraid of being messy with your placement of the coffee filters — in fact, Cathy says the messier, the better!
The total cost is about $20, depending on where you get your supplies. All that’s needed for this wonderful DIY project? A glue gun, paper coffee filters, a fire-retardant paper lantern, and a lightbulb. Some people suggest using regular lightbulbs, but LED lights are considered the safest option. Craft store, here I come.
