Looks Like An Ordinary Sign, But Keep Your Eye On The Shaggy Dog…WHOA!

For the unsuspecting shoppers who took a leaflet from a dog rescue volunteer, a very special surprise was in store.

Barley the shaggy dog appears to follow shoppers around East London's Westfield Stratford mall in OgilvyOne's "Looking for You" campaign. The interactive outdoor ad is designed to promote pet adoption for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and encourage people all over the world to choose to rescue a dog.

So, how'd they pull off this incredible feat of visual artistry? A microchip was secretly placed in leaflets handed out to shoppers, telling them, "You could be just the person I've been looking for." The chip then triggered Barley to follow the shoppers from one digital board to the next. Can you imagine walking through a mall, and seeing a dog virtually follow you around with those soulful, puppy dog eyes? I wouldn't be able to resist!

It's awesome to see a rescue organization apply technology in such an innovative way. Much like Ikea's "Home For Hope" project created to help homeless dogs find loving families, I hope Battersea's campaign has garnered wonderful results.

Barley has already found his forever family, but there are plenty of hopeful pets who would love nothing more than to follow you home.

Please SHARE this brilliant campaign with your friends on Facebook — it could help save lives!
