Who said only children get excited when their birthdays come around?
Sure we know many kids go berserk when it's time for their birthday cake and presents. But there are animals that also enjoy celebrating their big days. Whether big or small, many of these cute animals have been recorded getting into the birthday spirit. Just look at the animals at the Palm Beach Zoo that can't get enough of their birthday cakes! It's simply adorable to watch these critters in action.
Now meet Dakota, an adorable chocolate Labrador that can't hold back his excitement when his family serenades him for his birthday.
"He loves it when we set fire to food and then sing about it. Happy Birthday, to a good old dog," the pooch's owner wrote on her Tumblr page along with the video.
Dakota, who turned 8 at the time, wagged his tail uncontrollably while jumping up and down with a birthday hat on. (I'm surprised he doesn't mind keeping the hat on!) It seems Dakota truly couldn't wait to get a bite of his dog bone cake.
