Like humans, dogs have certain places they can't get enough of. Whether it's the dog park or their owner's bedroom, they enjoy spending as much time as possible in their favorite area. For a clever 5-year-old dog in North Carolina named Riley, that place is his daycare.
One day, his mom Tonia Mosteller left him in the backyard as she ran some errands. That's when Riley decided to escape and take a trip to his beloved place, which was more than a mile away from his home. How hilarious is that?!
Of course, the golden retriever knew the way since he's been going to Happy Dog Café, Boutique & Spa in Belmont since he was a pup.
"We walk Riley everyday, typically through town, and sometimes we will stop by the daycare," Mosteller told CNN. "Riley knows his way around town."
Daycare owner Teresa McCarter was delighted to see Riley as were his dog friends. And just as he hoped, the lucky pooch was able to stay and play.
"Riley is a happy boy now. Not only did he get a news story, but he is in daycare! Chewing on his favorite bone," the daycare joked on Facebook after the incident.
