Ocean lovers, this eye-catching nail trend is for you!
In the video below, CutePolish’s Sandi shows fans how to create adorable dolphin nail art with an ombre illusion. She's properly dubbed it the "Sunset Ombre Dolphin Nail Art." (The technique is just as impressive as her must-try “Water Spotted Nail Art!”)
As always, first apply a base coat to protect your natural nails. Make sure to add a coat of white right after so that the ombre will really pop.
Just like she did to create her trendy yin yang nail art, Sandi also paints three colors across a makeup sponge. This time, she uses yellow, orange, and blue. She then dabs the sponge on all her nails right before applying a fast drying top coat. The final glaze not only smooths the nail, it also adds a necessary shine.
At the 1:20 mark, she demonstrates how to draw a dolphin design on the nails using a black striper polish – and it's not as difficult as you might assume. The end result is quite impressive!
While this is the perfect summer trend, I don't see any harm in trying it during other seasons. Do you agree?
