As the upcoming 2016 presidential begins to really rev up, Republican GOP hopeful Donald Trump is traveling all over America in order to gain more votes and give more speeches.
Before Trump begins his speech however, he always insists that the Star Spangled Banner is performed, so when he was about to begin his rally in Birmingham, AL. his team asked Marine Cpl. Jason Perkins to perform our nation's anthem.
Perkins performed an absolutely stunning version of the famous song. With a deep and booming voice, this man really sang this song with an intensity that is very rarely seen these days. But when all was said and done, Perkins realized he was in some pretty big trouble for what he did.
It turns out that the Department of Defense has an official rule that prohibits our soldiers from wearing their uniforms to any political event. Even though Perkins sang beautifully, he's technically representing the Marines and saying to the public that the Marine Corps backs a specific cause.
Troops are allowed to attend political events, but just not in any uniform! Luckily, it seems like Perkins won't get into too much trouble; it seems like an honest mistake, and he's certainly an amazing singer to listen to!
