We've all made mistakes in life, but when our little "mistakes" put other people's lives in danger, it's never OK.
I have to admit that the following video gave me extreme anxiety. Many of us have known someone in life who died because of drunk driving, either because they were the driver or an innocent victim. You don't need me to tell you the countless reasons why it's a bad idea, just watch this video if you have any doubts.
What happens in the clip below is almost unbearable to watch, but it's also a pretty great argument for why drinking and driving is never, ever, ever OK. In the video, we see a good Samaritan, who may or may not be with the news, filming a seriously intoxicated woman on the busy and dangerous I-15 freeway in San Diego.
The woman stops her car in the middle of the freeway to use the bathroom like it's no big deal and, since she's drunk, she doesn't even bother to put her hazard lights on. The rest of the video is a real train wreck, but I'm just happy she didn't get hit or cause a major accident.
I'm a strong believer that anyone can change. In fact, being arrested for drunk driving is exactly what made the man in this video turn his life around. Hopefully, after being completely humiliated in this video, the drunk woman in the clip will get her own life together, too.
