Throughout the evolution of my morning makeup routine, I've never once considered contouring. I know it's all the rage, as it's the latest beauty trend on the streets and on the runway, but it seems too complicated for me to do. But, after watching this simple tutorial on how to properly contour for a flawless look, I'm ready to give this a shot!
Makeup artist Cyndle Komarovski shows us each step of contouring. And it's definitely worth trying to get that soft and subtle look to highlight the features of your face.
First, start with foundation already applied to your face. Next, when choosing a color for your powder, find one close to your skin color, and not too orange.
In a gentle sweeping motion, follow the hollows of your face, such as from your ear to the corner of your cheeks and along your jawline. You can even lightly apply it along your temples.
If you're like me and a little self-conscious of your forehead, you can apply the powder along your hairline to shorten your forehead.
Next, if you have some powder leftover on the brush, use it to lightly dust the crease of your eyes.
And just when it seems like you can contour almost any part of your face, use a smaller, thinner brush to make your nose seem slimmer! Watch the video to find out the secret to a perfectly contoured nose!
