Weightlifter Breaks World Record With Arnold Schwarzenegger By His Side

If you don't know why Eddie Hall is known to the world as "The Beast," then his latest world record should make it clear.

Like former U.S. Marine officer George Hood who held the longest plank ever and the 99-year-old woman who ran a race, Hall also showcased some incredible physical capabilities when he lifted a shocking 462kg (or 1018.5lbs.) at the Arnold Classic event in Australia. (Yes, you read that correctly!)

What made the achievement even more monumental was having former bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger right by his side.

"That moment when you pull a WORLD RECORD dead lift 462kg and @Schwarzenegger is cheering you on. PRICELESS!" the English strongman competitor tweeted after the event.

In the video below, Hall is seen preparing for the dead lift. Moments later, at the :49 mark, Schwarzenegger appears on camera and begins cheering him on. Once Hall accomplishes the massive feat, Schwarzenegger also went over to congratulate the record breaker.

Schwarzenegger was shocked by Hall's effort telling reporters, "I used to powerlfit and my record was 710lbs, so I know how much this is. I can’t even believe humanly possible."

He added: "I am so lucky and so fortunate that the record was [set] right here."
