Man Leaves Egg In Hot Car To Show Why Dogs Should Never Be Left Alone Inside Locked Vehicles

With the summer season almost upon us, it's important to remind people about the dangers of leaving pets and kids in hot cars, especially with the doors locked. This can often happen by accident, though sometimes people intentionally leave them inside vehicles for seemingly short periods of time.

But what many don't know is that "just" a few minutes can be deadly to pets and babies.

If this is hard for some to believe, one Imgur user decided to demonstrate just how serious leaving pets in a hot car can be. Using an egg, he showed the exact reason why hot temperatures are silent killers.

The user cracked the egg into a pan, which he left in a car seat. He then placed a thermometer next to the pan to monitor the exact temperature inside the vehicle.

In just 15 minutes, the egg was at least partially cooked, which would perhaps come as a shock to some. If you can cook an egg in your car, it's definitely too hot to leave pets inside vehicles, even for a few minutes!

Many who have seen these photos were shocked by the discovery, but others offered examples of other things they've managed to cook in their hot cars.

Some even offered tips for pet owners and examples of what things that could easily be forgotten once the temperatures get higher.

Unfortunately, there are countless stories each year of dogs left in cars with the doors locked.

Luckily, there are Good Samartitans who see these pets and take action. Don't forget to look up your state's procedures regarding pets in hot cars so you can follow protocol and have the law on your side!
