It's been a well known destination for winter mountain climbers for decades but El Camino del Ray in Spain has become a major hot spot for thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies all over the world in recent years and it's not because of it's majestic mountain top views.
Ever since it opened over 70 years ago, people from all over the world have flocked to the Spanish footpath that could end your life with literally just one misstep.
The path is an extremely narrow, man-made walkway that follows along the mountain walls just 100 meters above the Guadalhorce river. The paths at many points are falling apart with some spots leaving gaping holes which you have to step over while walking across the cracked surfaces. Some sections of the pathways have worn out completely, leaving hikers to walk heel-to-toe over steel beams.
This walkway is absolutely terrifying and I don't think I could ever do it. Could you?
