As we grow older, we are all forced to face certain fears that we would probably rather not think about. Unfortunately, there's really no getting around those difficult issues, at least not until scientists finally crack the code to eternal youth. However, growing old doesn't have to feel as grim or scary as we tend to view it. Like most things in life, a positive attitude can go a long way!
In fact, there are many elderly citizens out there who can give people less than half their age a run for their money. I can't imagine pulling off the routines gymnast Johanna Quaas competes with at my current age, let alone once I catch up to her! Of course, it doesn't have to be anything that physically taxing to help someone feel young again. It can even be something as simple as a new romance — or in the case of John Porter and Gwenda Levy, a rekindled romance that was totally worth the wait.
Like those happy newlyweds, the couple below — both of whom are over 90 years old — embraces all aspects of life!

Employees at the quaint Washington, D.C. bookstore Prose and Politics were so charmed when they saw a pair of nonagenarian sweethearts walk into their café area.

The bookstore is a favorite hangout of the gentleman's, whose granddaughter decided to play matchmaker after meeting his new sweetheart while serving as her waitress at another local eatery. She was so taken by the woman's lively personality and knew they'd make a perfect fit!

Miriam Steiner, 93, and Harold Sharlin, 90, were all smiles when an employee from Politics & Prose asked to commemorate their adorable blind date with a photo. Suddenly, the pair found themselves shocked by the unexpected volume of online support for their budding courtship!
Despite their lack of tech knowledge, heartwarming comments continue to roll in with encouraging messages.

Even before their Facebook fame, Steiner and Sharlin were already touching the hearts of their fellow shoppers. Both had previously lost their spouses in the late 1990s, and while Sharlin had gone on a few dates here and there, this was the first foray back into the dating world for Steiner.

Clearly, there is no age or time limit when it comes to l'amour!

I have a feeling this humble bookstore can count on another regular customer visiting them with her fella from now on. Though it might be hard for the duo to top this precious moment, here's hoping they have plenty more endearing date nights in their future.
