When it comes to getting solid advice, the younger generation doesn't necessarily run to their elders. But honestly, who would be better to dish it out than someone who has already seen it all? If experience is the best teacher, older people are probably the most qualified for it.
With this in mind, YouTube personality Freddy Ligaard set out to ask elders what piece of advice they'd give to young people. Their responses were perfect. Grandparents and elders around the world sounded off on a variety of topics, but all the messages had one familiar theme: live life to the fullest and do what makes you happy.
"Life is shorter than you think. The older you get, the faster it goes," said one man. "Slow down," advised another.
An older woman candidly said, "Look for peace."
