Who knew that a little food coloring could completely transform your breakfast?! This mesmerizing video will have you wondering if you have the skills to make a dish as whimsical as this. Dan and Hank from YouTube's Dancakes create a new character each week using colored pancake batter. This week's character? None other than the late, great Elvis Presley himself. Using only a photo from his iPhone, Dan sketches and outlines that rock 'n' roll singer's face with batter. The details are incredible.
Not only do they making a mirror image of the singer, they somehow manage to catch his charming, rebellious spirit — the kind that shone through in his 1970 performance of "Love Me Tender." This isn't just a pancake picture, it's certainly a portrait of the man. These guys must be Elvis fans. (Who isn't?) Even if you don't have the skills to create detailed works like this, it's still a great idea for you and the kids. Add a little food coloring to pancake batter, then let them create their own splatter art, suns, planets, and anything else their hearts desire (under adult supervision of course!).
