Farm animals definitely belong within the confines of their barnyards or pastures for their own safety, but every once in a while a sneaky one makes a grand escape. Generally, the chase ends in the animal being safely returned to its home, but not before it runs amok on whatever nearby town is closest.
A good example of this? Stephen Peterson. On an average drive home one day, Peterson saw what he thought was a dog on the side of the road. Deciding to pull over and attempt to help the animal, Peterson got the shock of a lifetime when what turned out to be a llama ran directly toward him. His reaction, while endearingly profane, is a little heavy on the language. But at the end of it all the animal was returned to its rightful home.
The below video depicts a similarly hilarious event in which an emu ran rampant throughout the streets of Devon, England. As the Daily Mail reports: “Full-time mother Nikita Miles, who lives in the town, had just popped out to get a pint of milk when she captured the bird on film. The emu is believed to have escaped from the back garden of a home on Well Street but it is unclear how it got out and ended up on the main road. It is thought that the owner has two emus, one of which escaped.”
The video is so ridiculous you’ll be hard-pressed not to chuckle watching it.
