A couple of years back, the world gained a cat celebrity.
Her name is Tardar Sauce — but she is better known by the meme that made her a media darling: Grumpy Cat. She was a sensation, starring in movies, going on book tours, and even promoting a brand of cat food.
But today, we think that we’ve found the cat who is the very opposite of Grumpy Cat in every way!
In fact, Shironeko, who lives with his owner and kitty-cat family in Japan, is so cheerful that some have dubbed him “the Happy cat!”
He’s known for his perpetually contented face — which reminds us a bit of these signs of kitty-cat love — and love of sleeping curled up on his belly, just about anywhere. He particularly favors baskets and his owner's vegetable garden.
So mellow is this cat, in fact, that he even seems to enjoy taking part in silly cat pictures, allowing his owner to balance flowers and vegetables on his head in the name of cat humor.

Shironeko — with his round face, calm disposition, and Buddha-like smile — has earned the title "Happy Cat!"
Though, of course, he's never happier than when he gets flowers from his many admirers.
In fact, Shironeko loves flowers so much, you might just find him lounging around in a pile of them!
Unless he's too busy showing off the latest fashion like a head of cauliflower that he wears, naturally, on his head.
It has a lot in common with his other favorite accessory: a large pile of carrots, which do double duty as a hat and a comfy napping spot.
That said, sometimes Shironeko is in the mood for a slightly more "high fashion" look, as in a towering stack of heirloom tomatoes.
What can he say, nothing makes him happier than some really top-notch headgear! Sometimes, he'll even settle for a real hat!
