Maybe it started with ‘Love Actually.’ You know, that scene where Keira Knightley is getting married, and people in the crowd at her wedding suddenly produce instruments to play her down the aisle?
Whatever the impetus, it seems like every other couple these days stages a flash mob at their wedding. Just look at these groomsmen breaking it down, it’s definitely a trend!
And it’s not always a part of the wedding itself… Sometimes the flash-mobbery appears before the nuptials in the form of the ever-popular crowdsourced proposal.
That’s why this particular wedding flash mob made for an interesting twist on the new tradition! Instead of the bride and groom setting up an elaborate event, their guests took the dancing into their own hands.
After the happy newlyweds walk down the aisle after their ceremony, music suddenly starts playing. The startled couple stops, and turns around, only to see their bridal party getting started on a truly epic dance routine.
At first, it’s just the bridesmaids and groomsmen, bopping along to Bruno Mars’ hit summer jam "Uptown Funk." Pretty quickly, though, the entire crowd is involved in one of the cutest, most enthusiastic wedding dances we’ve ever seen!
