Physicist Michio Kaku joined CBS News to warn 250 million Americans that "we are in the bullseye" and by midweek, "all hell's going to break loose" as arctic air plunges over most of the United States.
He even warns that Superstorm Nuri packs more energy that Hurricane Sandy! He says the current polar vortex is "going to plow into Alaska creating 50 foot waves. Then by mid week, all hell breaks loose. It's going to collide with the jet stream, pushing Arctic air all the way down perhaps as low as Florida."
While the upcoming snow storm could just mean you're stuck inside for a day and should hunker down, Kaku says the worst case scenario could mean that major airports will be shut down and major transportation will be disrupted. The storm will reportedly peak around November 13 to November 15, but the U.S. will continue to feel the effects through the end of November.
