Family Finds Spotless Sports Car In A 25-Year-Old Storage Unit

Is there anything more thrilling than cracking open an old safe or tearing down an old door to find something incredible on the other side?

While not everyone can be as lucky as this treasure hunting family who recently discovered about $1 million in shipwrecked gold coins and jewelry, it is always so exciting to come across something that was thought to be lost forever…or that maybe no one even knew existed!

In the automotive world, when someone makes the amazing discovery of finding an old car, boat or motorcycle in good condition, it's just like winning the jackpot. It's called a barn find, even though you could discover the vehicle in an old basement, garage or in this case, an old storage unit. In the following video he posted to YouTube, Steve Cipriani purchases a storage container that hasn't been opened in 25 years. He pries it open with a piece of wood to uncover something truly incredible inside: a 1974 DeTomaso Pantera.

Only about 7,000 of these cars were made in their 20-year production run from 1971 to 2010 and the 1974 model was specifically known as one of the fastest cars on the planet during that time. To find one in such mint condition is pretty amazing, even if it was missing a few parts.
