A father has died after trying to perform a cliff-diving stunt while vacationing with his family in Spain in May, 2022.
In a graphic and horrific video filmed by his wife, Mourad Lamrabatte, a 31-year-old who played for SBV Vitesse, can be seen attempting to leap from the top of a cliff into the water. By the looks of the video, Lamrabatte misjudged how far out he would have to jump in order to clear the rocks below.

Instead of making it smoothly into the ocean, his body smashed into the side of the jagged rocks.
The footage is simply horrific. You can hear the father yell out before he hits the rocks and tumbles into the water.
Lambrabatte plunged about 100 feet, according to The Sun. You can hear his wife scream, “Oh my God," as she watches him hit the rocks. Police say she is still in shock from the incident, so they have not yet questioned her.
The father had apparently been planning the stunt. He even hired a boat for his wife to film it from.
An autopsy has been performed, which found that Lamrabatte died by drowning while unconscious.
