Every Day For The Past 60 Years, Something Incredible Happens To This Disabled Man.

All firefighters are heroes, but one group of firefighters stands above the rest! Those firefighters are at Fire Station 1 in Lansing, Michigan. Over 60 years ago, a firefighter performed a random act of kindness that changed Tony Touminello's life forever.

In 1953, a Lansing firefighter invited Tony–who suffers from a mental disability–to come visit the station, and since then, he's called the firehouse his home. For the past 60 years, Tony spends around 6 hours a day at the station. He eats his meals there, the firefighters do his laundry, and they even help him bathe now that he's older. They really are–in every sense of the word–his family. And it's a family that Tony doesn't even want to think of living without.
