Boy Gets Stuck On Cliff 100 Feet Above Ground, Then Firefighter On A Rope Slides Down

Firefighters help ensure that people in the the most scary situations stay safe.

Their work expands far past fires though, they also help in almost every situation where someone's life or property is in danger.

They will be on the scene for chemical spills, car crashes and yes, they even save cats, though they are usually stuck somewhere other than up a tree.

They'll also scale scary heights to save a life, as evidence from this harrowing clip below suggests.

The video starts with a big who is lodged in the side of a huge cliff in Lanzhou, China; this boy suffered a horrible fall while playing with some of his friends near the mountainside.

The ledge is over one hundred feet of the ground — not easily accessible at all in terms of rescue and aid.

Fortunately, a firefighter was able to get harnessed and scale the side of the huge, steep cliff in order to save him.

Once he reaches the boy, the brave rescuer tied the rope around him and was able to carefully lodge him from the cliff, before carefully sliding both of them down to safety.

The scene proves exactly how far firefighters are willing to go to save lives; regardless of heights or danger, there's nowhere they won't go.
